Don't expect comfort but do expect a special homestay. This 2-day package trip offers a glimpse into the agrarian life of the vibrant southern Delta region as we wind our way through the tributaries of the Mekong Delta. From our boats, we are able to closely observe the daily rituals of river life and participate in the bustling commercial activities as we buy our fruits from the floating market. Along the way, we will visit an orchard farm, handicraft village, and a land market with an abundance of colourful fresh fruits and vegetables. We stay overnight in a traditional land house of a local family. You will have the opportunity to observe the lifestyle of Mekong Delta peoples.

Home Stay in Mekong Delta 2 days

Day 1: HCMC - Vinh Long (L,D)

This morning we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for its floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. We are evening guests of one family in the heart of the Mekong Delta. You will learn more about life in the Delta by visiting them.

Day 2: Vinh Long - HCMC (B,L)

Rising early to the sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, we eat breakfast before boarding our riverboats once more for a cruise to Vinh Long town, stopping along the way to visit some local cottage industries. Following this, we will rendezvous with our vehicle for the drive to the town of My Tho, where we will visit the Dong Tam snake farm and the Vinh Trang pagoda, before our return to HCMC. Tour ends at your hotel in HCMC.
